Canon Standing: With the assumption that the timeline of Vocaloid is simply that of the real world under the pretense that there are actual AI behind the Vocaloid software, her canon point would be ... tomorrow. Tomorrow as in ambiguously in the future, so that she can know whatever songs/new Vocaloids I want her to know as they come out. (If that's not okay, then I guess it will be today instead!)
Age: Timeless as she is an ageless robot, but physically and mentally she is meant to be 16.

Personality:

Introducing Hatsune Miku! The world's most famous virtual diva, she's the voice of the future! Miku is cute, loved by all, and cannot be beat. Truly, she is the best anime. .... Okay, but seriously. Miku is an interesting case, in that she is a conscious being that was created by the people, for the people, to entertain. She's sort of a walking wish fulfillment, which is why she can be described like a Mary Sue. But a Mary Sue that works it. She's insanely popular, and has become something of a cultural icon in Japan. Miku is a star, and she can't help but be aware of it. It's all she's ever known.

But despite her label of 'Diva', she's far from it personality-wise. She tries always to be modest about her work, assuring that the credit belongs to her Producers ("Masters" as the Vocaloids sometimes call them) and she is never snobby. Left to her own devices with no one around, Miku is actually kind of a lazy bum. She'll sleep or do other low-key activities. Her default mood is generally one of cool serenity, albeit a little spacy - deep in her thoughts, she can lose track of time for hours if she's not careful.

Around others though, she becomes a lot more "genki" - the way you'd expect a pop star to act, cheerful and bright. Around good friends, she wavers between the two depending on who exactly she's dealing with. With the twins she tries to have her energy up to keep up with them, while with Luka she's comfortable to just relax. The best way to put it is that Miku is a social chameleon that changes her personality to adapt to others. This is also the way she performs, often having a different type of 'character' for each song that she sings. She also sees each facet that she plays as being truly a part of herself, and she accepts them equally as well (even the scary or weird ones). Considering that she is a robot created for singing who managed to achieve instant love and fame the world over (and first did so by copying the Orihime leekspin, of all things), she is understandably a bit removed from reality. As a result, she may occasionally act in a way that seems kind of capricious or unpredictable. Her sense of humor, especially, can get a bit surreal. She was also "born" over the internet, so she is highly aware of geek culture - steeped in it, even. The "nyan cat" song is a cover of one of her original songs, for example. Having been used for many parodies, she dances on the fourth wall a little - but only in the name of silliness.

Of course, Miku would want to sing with everyone she meets. While each Vocaloid has their own reason for singing, Miku's is simply because she truly loves sharing her song with others. Whenever there is a new Vocaloid, UTAU or even a singing polar bear, Miku would always want to be the first one to greet them into the fold. Of course, if the person responds poorly toward her friendly approach, she may resort to alternate methods to get to know them. By the same coin, it would bother her if there was someone who didn't like her.

Crypton tends to show favoritism toward Miku because she sells so well, and as a result she is sometimes put on a pedestal by other Vocaloids. In particular, Kagamine Rin sees her as a rival. Despite that, Miku is really not a competitive person at all - she finds it a bother and would much rather be friends with everyone. However, she's naturally talented at a lot of things (or rather, programmed to be talented), so let's just say she's rather used to winning. Unfortunately, a combination of her fame and slightly spacy personality makes her a little detached. Despite good intentions she will still on occasion say very arrogant things about herself without realizing it, or accidentally condescend to other Vocaloids. She's certainly not blameless when it comes to any sour feelings toward her. At least among Vocaloids though, the situation tends to smooth itself out because of their familial ties. Miku truly loves her Vocaloid siblings and would go the extra mile to make them happy, even if she may have unusual ideas of how to go about doing so. She can also be very thoughtful and sweet, even inspiring, so it balances out.

Backstory:
Vocaloid Wiki for Hatsune Miku; Describes real-world events that will then be presumed to have been experienced by a fictionalized robot version of Miku, with some additional fictitious double-life that basically amounts to derping around offstage with the other Vocaloids and generally doing slice of lifey-gag manga type things. Due to Vocaloid's nature as a free medium that anyone can use, 'canon' may also be taken from various fan works, such as her songs or videos made in MikuMikuDance. I'll be trying to incorporate as much as I can in my interpretation of the character.

Canon Powers:

Miku is a robot, for whatever that's worth in a battle. Other than that, she has no supernatural powers to speak of.... but at the same time, she's an entire collective fandom's Mary Sue, and is shown as being casually badass. ... Though she has Prehensile Hair, if that counts as a power. But really none of this will be that relevant against the baddies of the game.
